Roland Rammul was born in Tartu, Estonia on 19th of November, 1986. For social, academic, and business purposes, he has lived in many different countries; including Germany, Lithuania, England and Turkey.

He studied Media Studies with Cinematics in University of Bradford, where he gained a critical understanding of media and cinema in today’s society. After graduating from Uni of Bradford in 2010, he got accepted to MA Directing Digital Film and Television in Bournemouth University; which is a nationwide famous media school in the UK. He completed his master’s degree with many awarded student projects. Hidden Life, for instance, which was the final project he directed, has won best student film award at Athens Film Festival.

After a fulfilling academic life, he got into business in Estonia. By the end of 2011, he started to work in two very popular local TV series, named “Pilvede All” (Under the Clouds) and “Kelgukoerad” (Sledding Dogs).

Subsequently, he moved to Istanbul, Turkey; where he gained a lot of experience about both small and big scale productions. He got to work with highly skilled international directors on both local and international productions shot in Turkey. He mostly worked as a DOP, cameraman and editor to contribute to the project. Currently he is back in Estonia and eager to keep experiencing the outstanding world of filming.
